Official visit to Jégo Mayotte Yves, Secretary of State for Overseas: two key issues for tourism on the island in the lagoon

Final adoption by the Council of State - or not - the Development Plan and Sustainable Development (SPSD) of Mayotte is one of the topics addressed by Yves Jégo, Secretary of State for Overseas France, in official visit to the island on 26 and 27 September for the third time in a year. The other important issue for tourism development of the island: the extension of the airport runway to allow direct flights in both directions, Europe> Mayotte.
The Layout and Sustainable Development (SPSD) of Mayotte is an important document for the future economic and environmental development of the island. Particularly because it allows for exceptions in relation to the "law Littoral. After being voted on 17 December 2004 by the General Council of Mayotte, is to date still not finally approved by the State.
PADD approves the construction of "tourist accommodation" on nine tracks. (To date there are only three hotels located on the seafront in Mayotte: Maoré Garden - N'Gouja to the hotel and the hotel Sakouli Trevan).
