Germany: a facelift for the Berlin Wall

The Berlin Wall - or rather what is left - is getting a makeover to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his fall.
The renovations of the East Side Gallery, famous segment of the wall decorated with frescoes depicting the history of Germany and its capital, shall take effect beginning mid-October (cost: 2.17 million). Half of the 118 artists who participated in its design in 1990 will repaint their work has undergone many including damage due to pollution and the plundering. Along the Spree 1.3 km on the East Side Gallery, a listed monument since 1992, is considered to be the biggest art gallery in the world.
