Weather France confirms that France is the victim of a "been rotten"!

Tuesday 21 August 2007

For Dominique Raspaud, meteorologist at Meteo France, is clear: "the summer of 2007 is rotten," one of the coldest since the 1980s (except in summer 2000). With two exceptions: the Mediterranean and the Midi-Pyrenees.

The figures prove it. Examples. Le Touquet, seaside resort of Pas-de-Calais exploded statistics of rainfall for the month of July with 165 mm of water. "Let there be three times more than normal," according to Dominique Raspaud. Ditto for cities such as Besançon (Doubs) or Caen (Lower Normandy). In Paris, he fell 73 mm. 10 mm is more than a season of "normal".
Same number of days of rain. 10 days in July in Poitiers, 12 in Orleans, 13 in Paris. The record comes in Caen, which saves 22 rainy days during this month alone.
Only positive according to Météo France: groundwater were partially reconstructed. Farmers and vendors benefit umbrellas too!
Explanation for this was exceptional: the anti-cyclone Azores ... remained on the islands of the Azores, off Portugal, the disturbance from the north of Europe unable to move, as usual in this period, France and Spain.
